[Book] The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century

This well researched and insightful book by Thomas Friedman is a must-read by every person who feels that the world has changed significantly in the last few years and wants to fully comprehend what this change has been and how one can benefit from the new world.

This book helped me understand many modern concepts, including:
Globalization 3.0
The coefficient of flatness
Insourcing
Triple Convergence
Free trade theory of comparative advantage
Fungible and non-fungible work
Versatilist
Corporate Citizenship
Reform Retail
Glocalize
Micromultinationals
Social Entrepreneurship
Demand Shaping

If u dint know, He has propsed a theory called "theory of golden arches".
    It goes like..

If there are McDonalds outlets in a country, they wont go for war. Coz people will be busy standing in the q. He is the biggest Phattu around. A big BUM.
